New rules from 23 Nov FAQ QUS FAQ QUS

Dear Solid member.

Many people are very worried about the current Covid-19 development.

We at Solid follow this closely and take the situation seriously!

To counteract the spread of infection, we have reviewed our routines and do everything we can to offer a clean and safe training environment. We have also pointed out that it is of the utmost importance that all members are healthy and well when you are here at Solid.

On Tuesday next week, the general councils will change and even if we are not covered in the same way as all other general gatherings, we want to continue to take responsibility both for you – Solid members but also for us – staff.

It will be tough and we will again have to adjust, but the ambition is now to find good and safe solutions so that you as a member can continue to take part in our training either here at Solid “Live”, Online or at Outdoor Classes. We want you to be able to do it in a safe and secure way.

We believe the following measures will make the biggest difference and they will take effect from Monday and initially for up to 4 weeks

– Group classes – We change the number of participants to 8 + 1 (coach)

– We will schedule so that we no longer have 2 group classes in a row. Ex. then the first class will be Live and the second Online (via ZOOM) or Outdoors. This will lead to extra times for the Open Gym.

– We introduce 45 min WOD classes at certain times that are based on today’s WOD, but without the first part – the strength part to prevent “collision” with Open gym training.

– For the time being, we are removing the Team, Strength, OLY and Intense mobility classes in order to focus on the WOD class, which is our most popular class.

  • We mark the surface on the floor to clearly show which training surface each participant has access to. Ie. 8 boxes instead of today’s 12.
  • A kind reminder that you only book the classes that you really want to go to and that you prefer to divide your training between “Live”, Online, Outdoor classes and Individual training, ie. Open Gym.

– The online classes will be available at both boxes (Nyköping and Stockholm) so that all Solid members can take advantage of these opportunities.

 – We introduce WOD at Home by Solid (30 min). This class will be available in Wondr as an alternative to today’s WOD and it is also the class we offer at fixed times Online.

– Open Gym must be booked in Wondr with a ceiling of 8 people and which is between 60 – 120 minutes long.

– Open Gym times are offered between the Live classes.

– Changing rooms – we strongly advise against using the changing rooms. If you have to shower after class, there is a maximum of 2 people who must be inside at the same time. Should more people need a shower, it is a quick shower that applies.

Finally, we want to take the opportunity to say THANK YOU for choosing to be a part of Solid. We look to the future with some concern but at the same time with hope. The great feedback we have received in recent days – strengthens us. The wonderful feeling and fighting spirit that is in the box makes us feel secure that together we can cope well from this. The community and the sense of belonging that we hope you feel, will be crucial in the time to come.

Hej bästa Solid medlem,

Med anledning av den nuvarande Covid-19 utvecklingen, och den oro som en del kan känna i sameband med detta, har vi sedan förra veckan genomfört följande:

  • Alla handtag, dörrar, kranar, tvål och papper dispenser rengörs numera varje kväll av städ personal instället för tidigare en gång/vecka
  • Träningsgolvet, dammsugas och städas med en städ maskin numera varje kväll med bakteriedödande meddel.
  • Ulrik, Amanda och Felix har torkat av all träningsutrustning idag, kondition maskiner,  KB, DB, stänger, mm. med desinfektionmedel och vi kommer att fortsätta göra detta löpande.
  • Vi har säkerställt att vi har ett litet lager med handsprit som finns på alla toaletteter och vid info tavlan innan man kommer ner till träningsytan.
  • Vi har uppmuntrat er medlemmar att tvätta händerna med tvål och varm vatten innan och efter träningspasset.

Vad kan du som medlem göra?

  • Har du luftvägssymtom så som hosta och feber, även lindrigare symtom är det viktigt att du stannar hemma. Det gäller givetvis även dina barn, ta inte dem till boxen om dem uppvisar förkylningssymtom.
  • Övan gäller naturligtvis även alla oss i personalen.

 

Vi vidtar dessa åtgärder för att minska risken för spridning av smitta och följer statens och folkhälsömyndighetens rekommendationer.

Vi följer händelseutvecklingen och uppdaterar er om några förändringar sker.

 

Känner du dig helt frisk kan du träna hos oss som vanligt, men följ våra skärpta hygienrutiner.

 

Vänligen återkom om någon mera fråga eller fundering annans hoppas vi ses snart i boxen.

The gym is open for its members everyday between 5:00-22:00

We do accept drop ins for other boxes for a fee of 200 SEK. You can book your drop in here.

Do you have classes for beginners? Do I need to be fit to practise CrossFit? FAQ QUS FAQ QUS

At Solid, even a complete beginner can join our classes. The coaches will guide you and adjust the workout according to your ability and experience so you will get as much out of the class as anyone who’s done Crossfit for years. For this to work, you need to keep an open dialogue with the coach about your experience, injuries and anything else that can be of importance.  

We do, once in a while, arrange a beginners courses, sign up to our newsletter to get the information first!

I’ve got an old injury/ I’m scared of getting injured. Can I still do CrossFit? FAQ QUS FAQ QUS

CrossFit often receives criticism for being a high-risk exercise form causing a lot of injuries. The critique is often excessive, but at the same time, it is not possible to avoid injuries completely when you want to work hard, regardless of the the sport/exercise. At Solid, we minimize the risks by taking the issue seriously. Our coaches are constantly educating our members about the importance of getting to know your body and being aware of any constraints and injuries you may have.

The workouts we perform daily are carefully thought out by our programming team to provide an even load on the body and the coaches will always guide you through the workout, scaling exercises if needed, so that it’s according to your individual level and to help you get the most out of your training as possible.

If you have an old injury that you need help with, we will be glad help you to book a session outside of class. We have a lot of knowledge in our coaching team and we will gladly help you out.

Our most common class is the WOD, which stands for Workout of the Day. Each WOD is uniquely composed in terms of what movements, in what order and in which time domain it will be completed. We vary number of repetitions, weight, intervals and much more. Isn’t it wonderful to not have to struggle through the same workout routine day after day? By constantly varying the workouts, we take advantage of our body’s amazing ability to adapt which can lead to great results. 

All classes still follows a certain structure to ensure quality in our training. We start every class with a dynamic warm up led by a coach followed by strength/technique in a specific movement or skill and finishing off with a more heart-rate elevating WOD.  We also have speciality classes focusing on strength, technique and competition, as well as specific groups for seniors, teenagers and kids. 

All workouts are carefully planned by our own programming-team. If you want to know more about how they build our programming, just ask us!

CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program based on constantly varied functional movements performed under a range of different intensities and time-domains. We execute movements that our bodies are built for; like running, lifting, throwing, jumping, pressing, carrying and more. CrossFit strive to be measurable and we like to test our fitness through different physical skills that involve movements from weightlifting, powerlifting, gymnastics, running, swimming, cycling and much more. At Solid you will always continue learn new skills! 

CrossFit is as much a community as it is a training method. We train in groups under supervision of a coach, and to go through physical stresses together with others creates a special kind of community. Solid is a place where like-minded can gather and hang out regardless of background and experience.

CrossFit
Crossfit is a functional fitness program where we perform movements with inspiration from sports such as weightlifting,  gymnastics and more. We vary everything from movements, time domains and load from class to class, so it never gets boring! You can read more about Crossfit under our FAQ section! We work out in groups of 14 led by a coach.

OLY
OLY stands for olympic lifting. In these classes we will learn the basics of the main lifts; Snatch and Clean & Jerk. We will focus on technique and useful assistance exercises. This class is for both beginners as well as experienced lifters.

Solid Move
In Solid Move we work with different angles and try to perform exercises in all different directions. The class aims to help you find balance through increased mobility, strength and body awareness. This will give you better prerequisites to avoid injuries and to be able to move freely in your everyday life. The workouts will be based on bodyweight and lighter equipment such as kettlebells, weights and rubber bands. This will be a perfect complement to your crossfit training!

Solid Senior
Solid Senior is the class for all over 60+ who wants to work out at a lower intensity. We will train strength focusing on technique and wellbeing where the goal is to be healthy and developing a joy for moving!
